Abstract
Procurement of a major ADP System, particularly one including a large software conversion effort, is not a simple undertaking. The completion of such a procurement, however, even if seemingly successful, does not mean the end of automation problems for the receiving organization. In fact, it frequently ushers in a period of great turbulence and creates new challenges for management to bring the performance of the new computer and the supporting organization to a level expected by the using community.
