ABSTRACT
Video projectors are rapidly shrinking in size, power consumption, and cost. Such projectors provide unprecedented flexibility to stack, arrange, and aim pixels without the need for moving parts. We present a dense projector display that is optimized in size and resolution to display an autostereoscopic life-sized 3D human face with a wide 110 degree field of view. Applications include 3D teleconferencing and fully synthetic characters for education and interactive entertainment.

Autostereoscopic 3D Displays
Autostereoscopic displays provide 3D perception without the need for special glasses or other head gear. Drawing upon three basic technologies, developers can make two different types of autostereoscopic displays: a two-view, head-tracked display for ...
A virtually tangible 3D interaction system using an autostereoscopic display
SUI '13: Proceedings of the 1st symposium on Spatial user interactionWe propose a virtually tangible 3D interaction system that enables direct interaction with three dimensional virtual objects which are presented on an autostereoscopic display.
Scalable Autostereoscopic Display for Interaction with Floating Images
ISS '18: Proceedings of the 2018 ACM International Conference on Interactive Surfaces and SpacesThe purpose of this paper is to introduce using scalable autostereoscopic displays that allow users to interact with floating images publicly, such as for digital signage. By tiling multiple display modules, it is possible to project larger ...
