ABSTRACT
With the development of massive ground-level imagery gathering methods, image based automatic reconstruction studies for 3D city models are increasing. While novel approaches have led to dramatically improved quality of the resulting 3D city model, some limitations still exist.

Image-based street-side city modeling
SIGGRAPH Asia '09: ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 papersWe propose an automatic approach to generate street-side 3D photo-realistic models from images captured along the streets at ground level. We first develop a multi-view semantic segmentation method that recognizes and segments each image at pixel level ...
Temporal city modeling using street level imagery
We propose two methods for detecting city changes depending on available data.Presence of buildings is estimated by comparing street images and a 2D city map.Scene changes are estimated from an image pair roughly aligned with GPS data. The proper use of ...
How to Realize a Compact City: Street Activeness and Agent-based Urban Modeling
SMARTGREENS 2019: Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT SystemsThe purpose of this research is to verify the effectiveness of the combination of the introduction of tramway with introducing a public facility for urban residents and promoting street activeness around it, on urban sprawl. An agent-based model (ABM) ...
