ABSTRACT
There is a lot of desire to develop mobile apps, but getting started can often feel daunting. This workshop aims to be an introduction to getting started on the path to mobile development. The emphasis will be developing quick, cross-platform apps utilizing open technologies. This includes development with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript, and bundling via Phonegap, MoSync, UppSite and other tools. Attendees will leave with notes and sample projects to start them on their path toward becoming mobile developers. The workshop assumes only basic web programming or design experience.
