  • Abstract

A rapidly growing interest, availability of open source components, and simulation tools have fueled a great amount of research in various aspects of future Internet architecture designs and applications. Among the many important research problems, routing is currently being investigated and to that effect Named-data Link State Routing (NLSR) protocol has been developed. So far, the performance evaluation of NLSR has been tested using live deployment and using Mininet emulator; however, the scale of such evaluation is limited by the size and the configuration of compute resources. We provide an alternative approach for performance evaluation of NLSR and call it as nlsrSIM. In this paper, we describe our work on porting of NLSR into ndnSIM. We demonstrate the capability of simulator by using a network topology and discuss basic performance results.
