ABSTRACT

Peace is a universal concern involving a complex process of negotiations between select groups (i.e. policy makers, mediators, scholars and civil society groups). In this paper we present PaxVis, a platform of two interactive data visualizations for a large database of peace agreements (PA-X). We developed PaxVis to support comparative analysis of peace processes and to improve understandings of the complex dynamics behind the establishment of peace.
