ABSTRACT
In this workshop we will create a realistic acrobatic 3D fighting animation using the animation software Cascadeur. We will learn the key features of physics-based character animation and will immediately apply the learned knowledge by creating an action sequence. Cascadeur is a new toolset that enables animators to create physical correct character animations for video games and movies - without the use of motion capture.

Physics-Based Character Animation for AR Applications
ISUVR '10: Proceedings of the 2010 International Symposium on Ubiquitous Virtual RealityPhysics-based approach for character animation has advantages in interactive AR applications in that the approach can create realistic character motions that are responsive to non-predefined environment and user inputs. In this paper, we introduce two ...
Muscle-Based Control for Character Animation
Muscle-based control is transforming the field of physics-based character animation through the integration of knowledge from neuroscience, biomechanics and robotics, which enhance motion realism. Since any physics-based animation system can be extended ...
Hair motion cloning from cartoon animation sequences: Research Articles
CASA 2006This paper describes a new approach to create cartoon hair animation that allows users to use existing cel character animation sequences. We demonstrate the generation of cartoon hair animation accentuated in ‘anime-like’ motions. The novelty of this ...
