Publish a TOPLAS Paper and present it at a conference!
TOPLAS now supports the journal-first publication model. TOPLAS papers can be submitted for presentation at partner conferences, including POPL, PLDI, OOPSLA, and ECOOP. Interested authors should put a note in their cover letter to indicate interest. Every effort will be made to make a decision by the conference notification date, provided authors return revisions within the requested number of weeks. However, submissions on work that has been previously presented at one or more conferences will not be considered for presentation. The submission will be reviewed both as a TOPLAS submission and as a presentation at the indicated conference. To be fully considered for presentation, papers must be submitted at least three months before the official conference submission deadline.
TOPLAS participates in ORCID
ORCID is a community-based effort to create a global registry of unique researcher identifiers for the purpose of ensuring proper attribution of works to their creators. When you submit a manuscript for review, you will be presented with the opportunity to register for your ORCID.
Gold Open Access
As of January 2022, and for a two-year period, all papers published in ACM Transactions on Programming Languages (TOPLAS) will be published as Gold Open Access (OA) and will be free to read and share via the ACM Digital Library. During the first two years, authors will be given the option (but not required) to pay the APC. Archival content will be made open access as of January 1, 2022 as well.
ACM is committed to exploring routes to making Gold OA publication both affordable and sustainable. Gold Open Access (OA) Journals will be free to read and share via the ACM Digital Library. For those authors financially unable to pay the APC as of 2024, ACM has developed a waiver program to ensure that no accepted articles to TOPLAS go unpublished as a result of financial need.
